Good morning! Would you like to become a volunteer at Gibson? We would love to have you. Ms. McCoy is hosting our 1st Volunteer Orientation, Tuesday, September 16th at 10:30am in the Library. I know I can always use people in the library to help with shelving books or our Book Fair that is in early November! There are many ways to get involved and help our school. If you have 1 hour or more, we will be happy to see you here!

The Board of Education presented 12 schools with Clean and Green Awards during their latest meeting. The Clean and Green Initiative, a partnership with Keep Winton Salem Beautiful and the Garden Club Council, encourages schools to reduce litter, provide environmental education, and beautify their campuses. Mystery Behavior - Kindness Awards Celebration and treats given out by Mr. Williams, our Assistant Principal. Way to go Gibson Grizzlies!
We have been celebrating kindness this month in the library! We have read several stories including; The Not-So-Friendly Friend, The Good Egg, Enemy Pie and The Kindness Jar. We have started a kindness chain and each link represents an act of kindness from our scholars. We hope to make it around the library with next week's upper classmen.

It's time to think about Kindergarten Enrollment for the 2025/2026. We will have online information and registration
Thursday, Feb.13th in the Library.
Children who will be 5 years old on or before August 30, 2025 are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year.
Enrollments are completed online beginning in February and must be made for your residential school.
No school Monday, January 6th 2025 for staff/scholars
