You may be thinking, When will I learn more about Open House? Who is my child's teacher? What supplies are needed? What about the bus? Don't panic! Here’s what you need to know right now:
OPEN HOUSE: Open House for kindergarten is JES Kinder Camp, which is August 11th @ 8:30-10:30AM. All Kindergarten families are invited to join us to learn about a day in kindergarten at JES. Students will do many fun activities including riding a bus around the block! Parents will meet with the teacher to learn about kindergarten at JES.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: The first day of school is August 13th. Check out the 2025- 2026 WS/FCS School Calendar for all other district dates.
JES SUPPLY LIST: Our classroom supply lists are ready! CLICK HERE on the JES webpage.
TEACHER ASSIGNMENTS: Teacher assignment letters for all JES students will be mailed home the week before Open House (week of August 4th). You should know your child’s teacher before Kinder Camp.
BUS INFO: You should have requested a bus when you enrolled. Transportation is processing those requests now.
• If you forgot to request a bus or need to make a change, CLICK HERE.
• PLEASE NOTE: If you did not request a new bus stop before May 30th, any bus requests or changes will not be made until after September 2nd.
• REMINDER: Per WS/FCS, only students who are residential to JES will be assigned a bus for the 25-26 school year.
• Use the EDULOG BUS PORTAL app to track your child's bus during the school year.
PICTURE PLEASE: Please send us a picture of your rising kindergartener. We love to display these pictures to welcome them for all to see at the front of our school. Email your child’s picture to jeskindergarten2526@gmail.com.

AUG 3RD: PICNIC ON THE PLAYGROUND: 5:00-7:00PM: Our JES PTA invites ALL JES families to gather and celebrate the start of a wonderful school year! Bring a picnic dinner for your own family, and soccer chairs/blankets, and let's all reconnect after summer break. Meet by the track, and we will eat, enjoy the playground, and have a few soccer balls/basketballs to play with. Families will also have the opportunity to join the PTA, and access the new links for Renting the Rock, and our JES Spiritwear store! We hope to see you and your family there!"
QUESTIONS/CONCERNS: Please call the JES Office @ 336-703-4215. We are open 9:00am-3:00pm Monday-Wednesday. Beginning 8/1, our office will be open 7:00AM 4:00PM Monday-Friday. If the office isn’t open, our JES webpage has it all!
At JES, we don't enroll students, we enroll FAMILIES.
