Toys

Students in Mr. Mitchell’s Project Management class recently demonstrated the power of leadership, teamwork, and community service by organizing and hosting a Toys for Tots toy drive at John F. Kennedy High School.

Led by students Logan J. and Jair C., the class applied real-world project management skills to plan, coordinate, and execute the drive. Their efforts mobilized the JFK community and resulted in an overwhelming show of generosity.

With additional support from Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, the toy drive concluded on December 12, when Toys for Tots collected more than 1,200 toys from John F. Kennedy High School. These donations will help bring joy to families and children throughout the community during the holiday season.

This initiative highlights JFK’s commitment to meaningful, hands-on learning and service beyond the classroom. Students interested in opportunities like this are encouraged to apply to our magnet program and join the JFK community, where learning goes beyond the classroom and makes a real impact.

We are incredibly proud of our students and community partners for coming together to make a lasting impact and help make the holidays brighter for so many families.
