Native of Yadkin County, but I have resided in Forsyth County since graduating from college except for 2 years in Georgia. I have a Bachelor of Social Work from Appalachian State University and a Master’s in Health Administration. I have been a Social Worker for 26 years serving in various capacities with children and families. I joined WS/FCS three years ago and became licensed as a School Social Worker. I have loved working alongside amazing staff members, students, and families. Joining with students, families, and staff to bring about positive change and outcomes is a strong passion of mine. I believe that there is a solution to every challenge or problem.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters. Both daughters are now in college – one is in nursing school at Forsyth Tech and the other is a Sophomore at Appalachian State. We are a busy family – and enjoy going to Appalachian State Football games, traveling, trying new restaurants, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

I am excited to be a part of the Jefferson Middle School team!
