This summer, a dedicated team of Konnoak Middle School teachers worked collaboratively to design a library of high-quality Project-Based Learning (PBL) units that will be implemented school-wide during the 2025–2026 academic year and beyond. This effort marks a significant step in Konnoak’s ongoing journey toward deeper, experiential learning for all students.
On June 26th, the school hosted a PBL Expo to showcase the newly created units and gather valuable feedback. The event brought together a dynamic group of attendees, including fellow educators, WSFCS district leaders, principals, community members, and even students. Guests engaged with each PBL project, offering thoughtful insights that will help the curriculum writing team continue to refine and enhance their work.
The feedback received during the Expo was overwhelmingly positive and deeply constructive. It affirmed the school's commitment to innovation and collaboration, and it energized the team to continue building meaningful learning experiences that connect classroom content with real-world problem solving.
“This is just another step forward in our school’s journey in experiential learning,” said one of the team members. “We’re excited to see these projects come to life in classrooms across Konnoak.”
