Jacob Lowther has spent the past 14 years as principal of Sherwood Forest Elementary School. Under Mr. Lowther’s leadership, Sherwood Forest was ranked among the top elementary schools in North Carolina by U.S. News & World Report. He began his career with WS/FCS in 2001 as a teacher at Griffith Elementary School. He was an assistant principal at Sedge Garden Elementary School from 2007 to 2010.
Mr. Lowther holds a Master of School Administration from Appalachian State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Fairmont State University. He is known for his strengths in instructional leadership, strategic planning, and fostering inclusive school cultures.
