January 9, 2024 – An approaching winter storm is scheduled to arrive tomorrow and bring several inches of snow and some ice to Central North Carolina. This will undoubtedly make travel dangerous throughout our area. In order to keep everyone as safe as possible, Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools will be CLOSED on Friday, January 10. This is based on the current forecast track and the timing of the storm, which is crucial to maintaining safe travel.

All afterschool and Saturday activities are cancelled.

Temperatures will remain cold throughout the weekend so any melting or improvement will come slowly. Teams from WS/FCS will monitor conditions Saturday and Sunday and if there needs to be another delay or cancellation Monday, we will be sure to communicate that by late Sunday.

Stay warm and we will be in touch if further changes in our schedule are needed.

9 de enero de 2025 – Una tormenta invernal que se aproxima está programada a llegar mañana y traer varias pulgadas de nieve y algo de hielo al Centro de Carolina del Norte. Esto sin lugar a duda causará que el viaje en carretera sea peligroso en toda nuestra área. Para mantener a todos tan seguros como sea posible, Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools estará CERRADO el Viernes, 10 de enero. Esto está basado en el trayecto del pronóstico actual y la hora de la tormenta, que es crucial para mantener el viaje seguro.

Todas las actividades de después de escuela y del sábado están canceladas.

Las temperaturas se mantendrán frías durante el fin de semana así que cualquier derretimiento o mejoría vendrá lentamente. Equipos de WS/FCS estarán monitoreando las condiciones el sábado y domingo y si se necesita otro atraso o cancelación para el lunes, nos aseguraremos de comunicarlo el domingo en la noche.
