Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools was awarded the Fostering Diverse Schools two-year planning grant from the U.S. Department of Education. WS/FCS will use the grant to create a comprehensive plan that is aimed at improving socioeconomic diversity in each school's enrollment while also slightly reducing driving time for families.
The plan will be developed based on input from our students, staff, parents, guardians, and caregivers. Therefore, voices are critical, and we are committed to engaging the community throughout the process. Voices from our community will be captured through surveys and in-person and/or virtual focus groups. These opportunities will allow us to provide valuable information, listen to feedback, and answer any questions.
