The Parkland Gardening Club was featured by WXII 12 news as one of many exhibitors on Saturday April 18th at The Piedmont Earth Day Fair! Our Gardening Club sold seedlings at the fair as well as gained contacts with community leaders that want to support our Gardening program through mentorship or for future purchases. Year 5 student volunteers Khloe Campbell and Angel Morales were excellent at engaging with customers and were instrumental in gaining a huge profit for the club which will be used for greenhouse maintenance and supplies.
Thank you, Ms. Bennett-Wall, Ms. Slater, and Ms. Moore for helping Ms. Saliba and Ms. Higgins prepare the seedlings for sale. Many thanks to all for helping to make this event so memorable.
