The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Board of Education has approved Javita Noel-Stockton as the new principal of Southeast Middle School. She will begin in January.

Noel-Stockton has been the principal of Union Cross Elementary School since 2021. Under her leadership, the school moved out of Low Performing status and progressed from not meeting expected growth to exceeding it in one academic year. She led Union Cross to achieve National ESEA Distinguished School status and be recognized as a Top 2 Title I School in the state.

Noel-Stockton is well regarded for her longstanding commitment to WS/FCS and deep familiarity with the Kernersville community. District leaders expect her history of building strong relationships and leading significant academic growth to make her a successful principal at Southeast Middle.

“She has been a longstanding teacher and administrator in the Kernersville community and leads from the heart with a positive energy that is contagious for her students and staff,” said Area Superintendent Kevin Spainhour.

Noel-Stockton previously served as an English Language Arts teacher for eight years at East Forsyth Middle School and as an assistant principal for six years at Smith Farm Elementary School. She holds an Education Specialist degree and two master’s degrees from Grand Canyon University.
