Farewell February and Hello March!
MWF are B days, Tuesday and Thursday A days.
We are in the final stretch before Spring Break. We have concluded our basketball season for all teams. I want to say job well done to our boys and girls’ teams who did really well. We are all so proud of each of you. I also want to thank our coaches, Mr. Pizzino, our athletic director, and Mrs. Griffin, our Assistant athletic director for their care and dedication to our students. Stay tuned for our upcoming Spring Sports information.
Attention 8th grade parents! It is high school registration week! The counselors worked with your students last week on their state-required career development plan and 4-year high school plan. Students received a lot of information last week regarding high school course selection. Counselors will meet with students throughout this week to finalize high school registration. Please speak with your student about what they are registering for in high school! Any questions can be directed to Student Services.
Families, I am requesting your assistance. If your child has a tic-toc, Instagram, Facebook, or really any social media account, it is imperative that you monitor their posts, videos, and messaging.
I will also take this time to remind everyone of the cell phone WSFCS Cell Phone Policy-Middle School students are not permitted to use, display, or have visible, any wireless communication devices during the instructional day. This includes headphones and earbuds. I appreciate your support in this effort to maintain a safe learning environment.
As a reminder all students are to be picked up by 2:25 PM. All students should be off campus by 2:30 unless they are after school for a meeting or practice with an adult to supervise them.

· Tuesday 3/3/2026- SEMS Spirit Night at Jersey Mike’s on Union Cross. Proceeds from all sales will be donated to SEMS! Please make Tuesday a SUB NIGHT for your family and support SEMS!!
· Thursday 3/5/2026- National Junior Honor Society Meeting after school until 3PM
· Thursday 3/5/26- PTA Meeting 6PM in the Media Center.- Consider joining the PTA. Call the front office for more information.

Lastly the first week of May is Teacher Appreciation Week. We really want to honor our teachers for their commitment to our students and for all the work they put in daily. If you or your business would like to donate any items for Our Teacher Appreciation Week Celebrations, please reach out to any member of the Administration team. This includes Myself, Mrs. Helms, Mr. Bailey or Ms. Coffield.

Here we are in the final week of February. Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays are “A” Days, Tuesday and Thursday are “B” Days.
‼️ Families, I am requesting your assistance. If your child has a TikTok account or really any social media account, it is imperative that you monitor their posts, videos, and messaging. We are seeing some videos being posted that some may feel harmless but may not be liked by others who may appear in them without permission. This is occurring outside of school and we need parents and guardians to monitor what students are doing. ‼️

Students will be provided a calculator to use for math class; but if you wish to purchase one, we recommend the TI-84+ for 7th and 8th Grades and the TI-34 for 6th Grade.
