SW Families and Local Businesses! 💚 Remember the thrill of picking out a new book at the book fair? 📖 Let's give that same joy to every student at SW!
Our Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon, and we're excited to offer "Share the Fair" – a program that ensures ALL our students can experience the joy of taking home a new book. Sometimes, students need a little help to purchase books, and that's where you come in! Just a small donation can help a student choose their own book and discover the magic of reading. Let's come together as a community and make this Book Fair unforgettable for everyone!
Donate to Share the Fair and help us put a book in the hands of every SW student. https://shop.scholastic.com/stf/fund?orgUCN=600081199

Today was a day of inspiration and learning as our 1st grade classes hosted a Black History Wax Museum! Each student chose an influential African American figure, wrote a speech, and transformed into their character. Visitors were treated to incredible presentations as our students brought these historical figures to life. We're incredibly proud of the dedication and effort our students put into this project.
Take a look at the amazing moments captured in these photos!

Southwest Elementary is bursting with pride for our talented artists! 🌟
While the weather may have disrupted the Winter Reflections Art Exhibition reception at SECCA on Thursday, February 20th, we refuse to let it dampen our celebration of Allison Combs, Cameron Navas-Martinez, and Lilly Gimlin.
Their incredible artwork—Allison's 'Snow Owl,' Cameron's 'Fall Landscape,' and Lilly's 'Paul Cezanne Still Life'—deserves to be recognized. Though SECCA won't be extending the show, we’re sharing their masterpieces here! Congratulations, students! We’re so proud of your hard work and creativity.

Southwest Student Council helped with the Veterans Recognition Program at Forsyth Tech . They lead the Pledge of Allegiance and shared an acrostic poem using the letters from the word Veteran.
