The fifth annual Signing Day for Career Center students took place on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, and three students recognized were from West Forsyth. Signing Day celebrates the accomplishments of Career and Technical Education students. These students have completed a Pre-Apprenticeship with NC Apprenticeship and have committed to continuing their career in a trade skills pathway following graduation.
Amelia Hoover is enrolled in the Carpentry career pathway at the Career Center and completed her pre-apprenticeship with Winston-Salem, MIXXER. Amelia will attend Western Carolina University in the fall and plans to major in Construction Engineering.
Lukas Garone is enrolled in the Electrical Trades career pathway at the Career Center and has signed with Starr Electric for an apprenticeship following graduation.
Maverick Newsome is enrolled in the Electrical Trades career pathway at the Career Center and has signed with R. D. Graham Electric for an apprenticeship following graduation.
