For any scholarship that requires a school nomination, interested students MUST submit the Request to be Considered form by the deadline listed in the Newsletter.
Morehead-Cain Scholar Nominations
12th Graders Scholarship Opportunity can apply for the Morehead-Cain Scholarship online and must submit applications by October 1!. West Forsyth has submitted the allotted number of nominations at this point. Eligible students should demonstrate exceptional academic performance; ability to influence and inspire others; dedication to physical activity and teamwork; and compassion, humility, perseverance, and integrity. Interested students Reach out to Mrs. Hubbard (ahubbard@wsfcs.k12.nc.us) with questions.
Some additional scholarships require school endorsements/recommendations to be considered. For these scholarships, students should email Mrs. Hubbard (ahubbard@wsfcs.k12.nc.us) by the established deadline in the newsletter.
For School Counselor recommendations, allow two weeks for completion. It is important for students to complete the student “Recommendation/Scholarship Questionnaire” before requesting a letter of recommendation from counselors or teachers. These forms are available online and will also be available based on information shared in personalized emails to all seniors sent September 2-5. All Seniors should schedule an individual meeting with your School Counselor beginning the week of September 8.
