CONGRATS to the Walkertown H.S. Volleyball team, who qualified for the NCHSAA 3A state playoffs. The Pack will travel to Lincolnton High School on Saturday, Oct 18, for their 1st round match at 6 pm. Admission is $10, and they accept cash & GoFan.

The Board of Education recognized schools that earned Superior ratings at this year's Music Adjudication Performances during their latest meeting.
MPA is a performance test for band, chorus, and orchestra programs that gives teachers and students feedback and a rating, with Superior ratings as the highest achievement. Atkins, Diggs-Latham, Hanes, Lewisville Middle, Mount Tabor, Reagan, Walkertown High, and West Forsyth all earned the distinction this year. Eight music teachers accepted recognitions from the board on behalf of hundreds of students in their programs.

Coach Richard Daniels, the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Walkertown High School, is excited to host our very first day camp. This camp is designed to improve skill development and teach essential techniques for students in grades 2-8. Aaron Hester spent three years in Walkertown High School’s fire academy, and now he’s set to become a Winston-Salem firefighter. He plays for the baseball team and loves football and basketball as well, but he’s proudest of his work in the fire academy. He feels that going to Walkertown has helped instill a greater sense of civic duty in him. Everyone he’s gone to school with has unique backgrounds and struggles, and he has the potential to be there for all of them.
“Being able to go through high school and understand what other people are going through has prepared me to be a fireman,” Hester said. “No matter who you are or what you’ve been through, I’m here to help.”
