At Wiley Magnet Middle School, this STEAM approach connects the NC SCOS standards across disciplines to create meaningful, hands-on learning experiences. Students explore Visual Arts through projects that combine Social Studies themes—such as culture, history, and geography—with Mathematical concepts like symmetry, scale, and proportion. This integration allows students to express their understanding creatively while strengthening critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
