From 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, students will explore a wide range of career pathways through interactive booths and engaging conversations with industry professionals. This career exploration opportunity allows students to connect classroom learning to real-world careers in business, STEAM, public service, healthcare, technology, and more.
From 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, the spotlight shifts to entrepreneurship during our Shark Tank segment. Students will present creative business ideas to a panel of community leaders and business experts, gaining valuable feedback and insight into innovation, leadership, and problem-solving.
This event reflects Wiley Magnet’s commitment to:
Building college and career readiness
Encouraging creativity and innovation
Developing communication and presentation skills
Connecting students with community partners
The Career Fair & Shark Tank experience empowers our scholars to dream big, think critically, and confidently pursue their future goals.
At Wiley Magnet, we don’t just prepare students for the next grade — we prepare them for their future.

From THEN, honoring the strength and sacrifice of those who paved the way…
To NOW, recognizing the brilliance, creativity, and excellence in this very room…
To NEXT, where our students carry the torch forward with confidence and purpose.
Thank you to our incredible scholars, performers, staff, families, and community members for making this evening unforgettable. Your voices, your talents, and your stories matter.
We are empowered by our history.
We are inspired by our present.
And we are unstoppable in our future.
Let’s continue to learn, lead, and lift as we move forward together.
Thank you,

This project brought together talented student artists who worked side by side to design and create a piece that reflects school pride, innovation, and community connection. The mural now stands as a lasting symbol of collaboration and the shared commitment to empowering students through the arts.
We extend our appreciation to the students, staff, and art educators from both schools who made this vision a reality.

Becoming Her Early is a powerful monthly empowerment experience designed especially for middle school girls. Hosted at Winston-Salem State University and presented by Superwomen Wear Scrubs, this program focuses on mentorship, interactive workshops, reflection, and community building.
Girls in grades 5th–9th will engage in meaningful conversations and hands-on activities centered on confidence, identity, self-worth, healthy relationships, and positive peer connections. Each full-day session (10:00 AM–4:00 PM) is thoughtfully themed to help participants grow, reflect, and bloom into their best selves—lunch and materials included.
Through supportive mentorship and engaging experiences, Becoming Her Early creates a safe space for girls to build emotional awareness, strengthen communication skills, and develop a strong sense of purpose for their future. 🌸

Our February testing window will take place throughout the month as outlined in the calendar above. Grade-level math check-ins are scheduled on designated days, with make-up opportunities available for students who are absent.
Please review the calendar carefully and plan accordingly to support a smooth and successful testing process for all students.
