On Wednesday, August 5, Daggett Shuler Attorneys at Law partnered with WS/FCS to hold their annual Back-to-School Backpack Program. This program allows children from elementary schools around the district to receive backpacks and school supplies that their families may not be able to afford. There are 325 backpacks filled with supplies that will go to children; 250 will be split between Moore, Bolton, South Fork, Whitaker, and Brunson elementary schools, and the remaining 75 will go to the Bright Beginnings program, an initiative led by the YMCA in which children can go shopping with volunteers to get the supplies they need for the upcoming school year.
āOur hope is that this is a small piece of several pieces in the community that are going to come together to get the school started off on the right foot for these young people,ā said David Daggett, managing partner of Daggett Shuler.
