We are excited to announce a school-wide competition to help stock our DTS Food Pantry this year! Students and families can compete by donating shelf-stable food items at the school picnic to be held on Thursday, September 12. The winning grade in each building will receive a Play Park "Pop" Party, with free popsicles, popcorn and ring pops! Below is a list of items that we need. As a reminder, the DTS Food Pantry is here to support students and families struggling with food insecurity. If you or your family are in need, we encourage you to sign up to receive weekly food bundles from DTS. Bundles are delivered to your child discretely each Friday, and they can bring the food home in their backpack. Bundles generally include enough food for one child for a weekend. Please send a confidential message to DTS School Counselor Mary Beth Edens at medens@wsfcs.k12.nc.us with any questions, or to sign up.
