This Friday (11/28), kids 14 and under get in free with an adult ticket. 🎉
This is the perfect opportunity for a fun family night out with hoops, cheers, and memories!

Don't miss out!

At this time, a new date has not been selected. We look forward to hosting this event in the future, and we thank you for your patience while we select a new date.

As an incentive, any student who donates any canned or shelf stable food item will get a pass to participate in the annual Turkey Trot Fun Run during the school day.

It isn't too late to order your child's school pictures, and now is a great time since Lifetouch is having a sale.
To order, log in to your account on mylifetouch.com or create an account. Then, find your student and order photographs using your child's student ID number.

As the government shutdown continues, we recognize that many in our community may be facing challenges. At East Middle, we’re more than a school — we’re a family. Our team is here to help you connect with local food resources as well as other resrouces tailored to your family’s needs.
Visit our website to explore available support: https://www.wsfcs.k12.nc.us/o/efms/page/family-resources-and-general-information
You can also reach out directly to our Student Services Office/Team and they will work to connect you to resources to meet your family's needs.

A special thank you to all the staff and students who went out of their way to write notes of appreciation and/or wear pink and green today in honor of Mrs. Bangham's favorite colors. We also appreciate everyone's efforts to keep this a special surprise over the last few weeks as the plans were becoming realities.

Sixth graders traveled back in time to the ancient world, using interactive Merge Cubes to explore fascinating artifacts like the Rosetta Stone and Canopic Jars. They also toured incredible sites including the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Wall of China, the Mayan city of Tikal, and more.
Meanwhile, seventh grade DLI students set sail during the Age of Exploration—comparing Old and New World cities and even stepping aboard Columbus’ ships.
It’s been an exciting few weeks of hands-on (and virtual) learning in social studies!

Today, October 22, students will be bringing paper copies of their first quarter report cards home. Please review these with your child to discuss their progress and goals. If you have questions, you can contact your child's teacher directly. Our staff directory is located at https://www.wsfcs.k12.nc.us/o/efms/staff; all staff email addresses are listed on this site.
We encourage families to have regular weekly grade checkins during the school year at home. This is a time set aside where you and your child can review their grades and track their work together.
We encourage all of our students to work for progress and growth.

Atkins High School is holding their magnet program information nights November 20 and December 8. We have several proud East Middle alumni currently attending Atkins.

Students are reminded to bring cash for purchases and to wash out/bring back any refillable cups for Kona Ice.
