Third quarter progress reports will be sent home with students on Wednesday, February 12. Please take a few moments to review these and celebrate any successes or discuss any improvements the student needs to make in the second half of the third quarter. If you have specific questions about a class/grade, please reach out directly to the teacher. You can find staff email addresses in our directory (https://www.wsfcs.k12.nc.us/o/efms/staff).

February 10-14 East Forsyth Middle School will celebrate kindness week. The students will enjoy a spirit week, have the opportunity to write kindness notes for one another, and be encouraged to participate in random acts of kindness. The activities and spirit week are sponsored by our nationally recognized SAVE Promise Club.
National Random Acts of Kindness Week has existed since 1995.

This is a quick reminder that all eighth grade students need to turn in their Chromebook, chargers, and cases to their homeroom teacher at the end of the day on Friday, February 7. This the final step in East Forsyth Middle moving to a site based system where no devices will be taken home from school. Grades 6 and 7 are already operating on this system.

We are so proud to share that our very own Mr. Sigler recently received $10,000 of new and nearly new band instruments and instrument supplies. The instrument donations were made possible through the UNCSA Community Music School’s “Band Together” program which concluded December 31, 2024.
Band Together is a sponsored project of the Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County and funded through ARPA supported by the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners.
We cannot wait to hear the wonderful music that will be made possible through this generous donation!

All EFMS students should be bringing home their Remote Learning Packets today. These are paper/pencil packets. Please make sure you retrieve them and put them in a safe place. This work does NOT need to be completed at this time. It will only be used if we need do remote learning in the future. If your child was absent today, please know that these can be picked up next week.
At this time, NO remote learning days are scheduled; however, we do want to be prepared in case those days are needed in the future. Thank you for understanding and supporting us as we work to ensure your child has consistent education even if we have another weather event. Have a great weekend, Ravens!
