Children's Author Patrice Gopo visited Ibraham Elementary School to share her book "Ripening Time", which recounts her experience as a child of Jamaican immigrants growing up in the United States and how food can be a helpful way to connect with culture. An approaching winter storm is scheduled to arrive tomorrow and bring several inches of snow and some ice to Central North Carolina. This will undoubtedly make travel dangerous throughout our area. In order to keep everyone as safe as possible, Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools will be CLOSED on Friday, January 10.
