PE fun with Mr. Lloyd

Celebrate with us by by rocking your socks.
Every year, on March 21, people all around the world come together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing brightly colored, mismatched socks. March 21 being the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. Socks were chosen because the karyotype of DS chromosomes actually looks like mismatched socks!

Wear green tomorrow!

Congratulations to our Eagles who had perfect attendance for the 3rd quarter! Keep up the great work!

Read Across America/SEL Week - March 3 - 7

Based on our assessment of weather conditions and roads, WS/FCS will operate on a regular schedule Friday, February 21.
See you in the morning!

Due to the potential for a burst of snow Thursday morning and black ice expected on bridges and overpasses through 1 pm, WS/FCS will have a remote learning day on February 20. Reminder: To be counted as attending school, students should complete the remote learning assignments teachers have sent home. The work is due when we return to school.
Employees may choose the following work or leave options: work from home (if job allows); take annual leave; make up time; or take leave without pay. Only staff required to respond to inclement weather will report to work when it is safe to do so.
Thank you for your patience during this difficult weather.

Today, our Eagles are welcoming Ms. Pierce as our "Principal for a Day".

Count down to K. Have an incoming Kindergarten student? Come to Ibraham Elementary School starting at 8.45 am Thursday February 13th, take a tour of our school and enroll your child. Staff will be available to answer any questions you may have and help you complete the online enrollment process. Please make sure you bring the required documentation with you.
Check out the Ready, Set, K website for more information. https://www.wsfcs.k12.nc.us/page/ready-set-k

The WS/FCS Board of Education has voted to make up inclement weather days on May 21-23, rather than adding 15 minutes to the school day.
