On Wednesday, August 5, Daggett Shuler Attorneys at Law partnered with WS/FCS to hold their annual Back-to-School Backpack Program. This program allows children from elementary schools around the district to receive backpacks and school supplies that their families may not be able to afford. There are 325 backpacks filled with supplies that will go to children; 250 will be split between Moore, Bolton, South Fork, Whitaker, and Brunson elementary schools, and the remaining 75 will go to the Bright Beginnings program, an initiative led by the YMCA in which children can go shopping with volunteers to get the supplies they need for the upcoming school year.
“Our hope is that this is a small piece of several pieces in the community that are going to come together to get the school started off on the right foot for these young people,” said David Daggett, managing partner of Daggett Shuler.

Our local City Councilman, Scott Andree-Bowen, came to visit Moore Magnet today. The purpose of his visit was to see how he might support our efforts at Moore to sustain and expand our outdoor spaces that serve the school and our general community.

Moore Spelling Bee was 12/13 - Congratulations to all the classroom winners who competed to represent our school. Moore's 24-25 Spelling Bee Winner is Turner Gibson, he will represent us at the WS/FCS Spelling Bee Competition.

Meteorologist Brian Slocum from WXII 12 recently visited Moore Magnet Elementary School, where fifth graders have been learning about the weather in their science classes. In our current hazardous weather environment, understanding the weather is more important than ever.
