A huge THANK YOU to local author Tricia Torribile for visiting Morgan Elementary and bringing her pun filled poetry to life just when we needed it most- on a Friday afternoon! Her humor, creativity, and passion for wordplay had our 3rd-5th graders laughing and learning! As a proud Clemmons resident and self-declared punster, Tricia reminded us that poetry can be playful and powerful. What a fun way to head into the weekend!

Today was a truly special day at Morgan Elementary School! We had the honor of welcoming back some of our former students, now proud members of the graduating Class of 2025. Watching these young adults walk the halls where their educational journey began was both inspiring and heartwarming. Our current students looked up to them with wide eyes and big dreams, while our teachers beamed with pride seeing the incredible young people their former students have become. It was a powerful reminder of the lasting impact of education, encouragement, and community. Morgan Elementary is so proud of each and every one of you. Happy National Library Month! Thank you so Ms. Baldwin for being a champion for learning, curiosity and connection! Whether she's helping find a child a book, guiding research or creating a welcoming space - she makes a difference in our lives and in our school.

This morning was extra special thanks to the West Forsyth baseball players who welcomed our students with high fives and big smiles as they arrived at school! They also spent time in our kindergarten and 4th grade classrooms—reading stories, playing games, and even joining in on an egg hunt! We are so grateful for their time, energy, and the positive example they set for our students. Thanks for being such amazing role models and partners in our school community!

Yesterday, we had the joy of celebrating the amazing volunteers who help make Morgan Elementary such a special place! We are so thankful for their time, energy, and dedication to our students and staff. Morgan truly wouldn't be the same without them! Thank you all!

Emily Harrison, parent of a 2nd grader at Morgan Elementary and Stormwater Technician in the Village of Clemmons worked with 2nd grade grade students and teachers to plant over 300 Iris bulbs along the bank of the greenway pond. Students each received 3 blubs to plant by the newly renovated fishing pier. Before planting, they learned that plant life, like these bulbs, is important to the environments found along bodies of water because the roots hold the soil in place. Students do not know what color flowers their bulbs will bloom, but varieties of red, purple, pink, yellow and white could be possible. 2nd grade teachers, Mr. McNeil and Mrs. Davis all got to plant a special purple variety of bulb to remember the event. Thank you Ms. Harrison!

A big thank you to the incredible West Forsyth women’s tennis team for coming out and opening doors for our students this morning! Your support means so much, and it was awesome to see a few former Mavericks here lending a helping hand as well. Your time and effort truly made a difference today!
