We have lots of report cards waiting to go home here at Brunson in the main office. Stop by Monday-Wednesday between the hours of 7:30-5:30 to pick up your student's. If you did not send in stamps, you will have to stop by to get it.

Our mascot "Bob" got a recent makeover thanks to our PTA and the Fun Run fundraiser. He made his first appearance at our 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony and started with a sweet interaction with a future bobcat.

Congratulations to our 5th graders! Today they participated in the 5th grade promotion ceremony complete with awards, student speakers and singing.

Back on April 2, Brunson had its second annual Math Madness competition. We would like to thank all of the colleges and universities that partnered with us by providing swag for this event: Appalachian State, Western Carolina, Wake Forest, College of Charleston, Duke, UNC Greensboro, UNC Charlotte, UNC Chapel Hill, W-S State, University of Cincinnati, and High Point.

Run, run, run, as fast as you can! Our teachers and staff competed in a blow-up race to celebrate those students with zero office referrals the last four weeks. Team Bobcats came from behind to beat Team CREW thanks to that feisty Gingerbread Man!

Ms. McIntyre's second graders are spending the last week of school in Camp Learned A Lot! The classroom has been transformed into a camp ground with desk tents and special seating areas where campers can celebrate their year of learning!

Mr. Lewis, I mean King Koala, says have a great weekend, and don't forget the No Referrals Race next Tuesday.

Some of our 4th and 5th grade students were recipients of bikes for their growth in reading and math. Cycle reCycle came and donated 20 bikes to students! Smiles all around! Thank you to Mr. Chester David and his crew!

Learning at Brunson doesn't stop after EOGs! Dr. Rebecca Erwin Wells, neurologist and parent, came to lead a brain-based research day with our HAG classes! 🧠

Don't let the rain get you down! After we finish testing strong, students have the No Referrals Race to look forward to! Ms. Lee, 5th grade teacher, gave everyone a little taste of what they have to look forward to!

Thanks to Coach K and all of our staff for making Field Day a success! Students had a wonderful time!

Mrs. Connor's and Mrs. Hayden's 3rd grade classes presented their play Take Me Out to the Ballgame. This was the 9th inning event combining all of their research around baseball. Students integrated all subject areas throughout this project.

Congratulations to Mrs. Harvey for completing her 1st year of teaching! She was recently celebrated at the district's 1st year Teacher Banquet. Mrs. Harvey is a kindergarten teacher here at Brunson.

Mrs. Brown's 3rd grade class presented their class movie today. A Timeline of Resilient Women was the culminating project of each student's study of a famous woman in history. Students researched, drew portraits, and gave speeches as their person, utilizing a fun program making their drawings talk. #deeperlearning

The music club presented its production of High Seas last night to families and are performing again this morning for the entire CREW! Shout out to Ms. Ginn and Mrs. Sanders for their work with this production.

The little bobcats welcomed graduating senior bobcats from Reynolds, Reagan, and Atkins high schools this morning with signs, cheers, and high fives! Congratulations graduates!🎓
