Author Peter Brown came to Brunson today to meet with our 2nd graders. He shared with students about learning to write and draw as a child. Students were glued to the presentation! We had a good turnout at the district's Magnet Fair this morning! Thank you to everyone who came out and learned about Brunson and all of the wonderful magnet schools.

The Bobcats enjoyed a day of dress-up while learning continued and ended with a character parade!

Don't forget! This Saturday! Come learn all about Brunson's STEM magnet as well as about other magnet schools in the district. There are so many exciting opportunities for students.

Students! Dress as your favorite book character on Friday for a school-wide parade. Please remember that no masks are allowed! Bonus if you have the book with you!

Fourth grade students have also been busy! During physical education, Tiger Kim's has been teaching them Tae Kwon Do. Every fourth grader created different animal habitats and shared them with their classmates. And, math is not just "hands on" but "bodies on" with Mrs. Woody, as they learn about comparing numbers.

Butterflies, Bee Bots, and Swimming, oh my! Second grade students have been busy with STEM. They explored butterflies on a field trip to All-A-Flutter, learning how butterflies see and hear. They learned coding with Bee Bots, programming their bee robot to move from flower to flower in different directions. And, they started swim lessons at the William G. White YMCA, learning water safety!
