During Arts Night, students and their families rotated through stations in the Arts classrooms to experience the Academic Arts Integration instruction that happens daily as part of our Visual and Performing Arts A+ Magnet School

It was a treat having a Winston-Salem Symphony String Quintet perform for our 4th and 5th graders this week.

The Instructional Leadership Team is pleased to announce that: #WeMetGrowth! #WeGrewALetterGrade! We celebrated with a “Luau Day.” Dr. Dobson, Ms. Warren, and Mrs. Gordon visited classes and awarded students with green bands and teachers with leis in honor of our growth. #wsfcs #growingbyleapsandbounds

Arts Integration Kits, made possible by donations from community partners as well as a gift from NC A+ Schools, have been refurbished once again! Students and teachers are excited to receive art and music resources and supplies to further engage students in Academic Arts Integration. (A+ Schools of North Carolina are turning 30 years old, and they gifted us a "prebirthday gift."

Meet our Inaugural Group of Magnet Ambassadors. These students will serve as leaders across the school, promoting school spirit and our A+ Magnet Theme. They will support events, programs, tours, performances, and the Magnet Fair.

Transition Day

Shoutout to Mrs. Gordon for reaching "gold level" and becoming an Ambassador for DonorsChoose; she has been using Donors Choose for over 19 years and brought 43+ grants to our school.

Our Schoolwide Management System and Expectations are PBIS-based and called “PAWS.” We “show our PAWS” and “keep our PAWS” to be prepared, with an A+ Attitude, to work responsibly, and show respect. Today, Assistant Principal Latta, led a PBIS/PAWS Kickoff, including a “RIDES” reminder for bus safety.
