We are so pleased to have been named a "Signature School" by the PTEC, Piedmont Triad Education Consortium. Principal Dr. Dobson and MCLs, Ms. Richardson and Mrs. Wilmoth, represented us at the annual celebration breakfast and received the plaque for the school. Congratulations Tiger Nation. #wsfcs

Our 1st graders, 2nd graders, and 5th grade Dance TAG students performed “The Nutcracker Suite” for the winter musical. Congratulations to our Arts Team on a job well done. Check out this montage of video clips and photos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TN3vp5PCRBM

Congratulations to our #GreaterGoals after school, soccer and literacy club for completing their fall program. Shout out to coaches Ms. K Allison and Ms. Stewart.

Special thanks to Home Moravian Church, our community partner, for the annual Holiday Store. Students shopped for a gift to wrap and take home to give to an important adult in their lives. #wsfcs

Special thanks to our neighbor and longtime community partner, Winston-Salem First Pentecostal Holiness Church, and Pastor Ward for treating our staff and visiting during a recent assembly.

#PolarExpressDay had an added surprise when PTA, admin, the instructional leadership team, and volunteers surprised students with hot chocolate carts while they also delivered candy grams. Thank you PTA for all you do for our school.

Thank you to our parent volunteer who greeted students during morning arrival, dressed as an elf for “Elf Day,” and handed out candy canes.

Congratulations to members of our “Crazy Running,” After School group, who recently participated in this semester’s “Fun Run.”

Congratulations to Mr. Algarin who attended the Men of Color in Educational Leadership Conference in Orlando, FL. He spent two days in pre-conference
sessions with the Hispanic Leaders from all around the country. The last 2 days was the big event with more than 300 educational leaders from different states. The Forsyth team was chosen to represent the next chapter of MCEL, and they were given this recognition in the event.

During our Holiday Spirit Days, Mr. Grinch visited our school on "Grinch Day," when staff and students wore green along with their Grinch attire. Don't worry; all the love from our staff and students warmed Mr. Grinch's heart.

Thank you to the “Busy Hands Group” of Trinity Methodist Church - Winston Salem, NC for donating handmade, knitted hats for our students.

Students had a great time shopping at our “PAWS Store” and spending PAWS Bucks they earned for hard work and excellent conduct. #learningandgrowinginharmony
Thank you support staff, volunteers, and donors for making this possible. #wsfcs

Shout out to 3rd-5th grade MCL, Ms. Richardson, for presenting to Teacher Academy on “Leading Adult Learners.”
Talking Points:
-Know your people
-Time and consistency
-Success breeds buy in
-Be the cheerleader for your team

Congratulations to Mrs. Gordon; her design was chosen as the logo for this year’s NCAEA: North Carolina Art Education Association conference, “Cultivating Creativity.”

As Ms. Cash’s 5th graders mastered P.S.5.2, they discovered exactly how speed equals distance over time by investigating with a simple machine. They used a graphic organizer to make sure their data had validity and plotted their average results on a line graph! Way to work those P.O.G. skills of collaboration, critical thinking, and Learner’s Mindset. #wsfcs
