Students in Mr. Crossās class are working collaboratively in groups to review for their Cluster 4 test on percents. Itās great to see teamwork in actionāstudents are engaging in meaningful math discussions, sharing ideas, and learning from one another!
Ms. Kendallās eighth grade class recently embarked on a powerful learning journey as they studied the Trail of Tears. To deepen their understanding, students stepped into the shoes of historical figuresāgovernment officials, Cherokee tribe members, and soldiersāto explore the event from multiple perspectives.
Through thoughtful discussion and role-play, students gained insight into the emotional and political complexities surrounding the forced relocation of people. To honor the resilience and suffering of those who lost their land, they created a Remembrance Chain, with each link representing a reflection, tribute, or message of empathy.
This activity not only brought history to life but also encouraged compassion, critical thinking, and respect for diverse experiences. We are proud of our students for engaging with history in such a meaningful way. #lms #wsfcs
