NCDPI Check-In Testing Is Coming Soon

We want to share some news about how we are supporting your child's learning this year. Our school will be participating in NCDPI Check-In Testing, a valuable tool that helps teachers see how students are progressing and identify where extra support may be helpful, early in the school year.

Because these check-ins work best when every student participates, on-time attendance on testing days makes a real difference. We appreciate your help getting your child to school on time on these dates.

Upcoming Test Dates:

- Math 6 and Math 7: October 13
- English Language Arts, Grades 6 through 8: October 16
- Math 8: November 4
- Math I: November 17

September 21-25 our SAVE Promise Club is hosting a school spirit week in honor of National Start with Hello Week! It's a chance for students and staff to get to know one another a little better and spread kindness across our school. 🌟

We encourage all students to join in on the dress-up days:

🎭 Tuesday: Dress for the Wrong Occasion to Help Us Accept Our Flaws Because Everyone Makes Mistakes

Want to spread kindness all year? Students can write a kindness note for a classmate or staff member anytime in the Learning Commons and drop it in the kindness notes box. SAVE members sort and deliver them monthly. 💌

A few important reminders:
✅ All guests enter through metal detection — plan extra time!
✅ Each student is allowed up to 4 guests
✅ Once the processional begins, latecomers may need to wait before entering
✅ Students should be dropped off before 7:45 a.m.
🚫 No balloons inside the building — they block the view for other guests
